Sexting: The New Threat To Our Youth
Sexting is electronic communication that can include sexual comments about self or others, nude pictures, and pictures of body parts via cell phones, e-mailing, or IMing. It can be for the purpose of having “text” sex sessions, flirting, attention seeking, setting up future contact, or bullying.
A class is being offered on understanding how “sexting” is influencing the lives of our teens. It is mandatory that at least one, preferably both, parents attend with their teen.
Presenters will include Brittain Paul, LISW-S, from Ravenwood Mental Health Center, Mark Clark, the Geauga County Sexual Abuse Investigator, and Tracy Jordan, the Geauga County Victim Advocate.
